Automating the manual work in your business

We build software that removes repetitive, manual work from your business, so software handles what your team currently does by hand.

What is it

What is business process automation?

Business process automation is using software to perform repetitive tasks that people would otherwise do manually. Instead of a person copying data between systems, sending the same email every week, or generating a report by hand, an automation does it instantly, consistently, and without errors, freeing your team for work that actually requires human judgement.

Why Hemlex

We build automations we would trust with our own operations.

Why choose a team that builds its own software

We work across the EU under Estonian law

Fixed quotes. Scope changes are conversations, not invoices.

  • Built on API-first tools, no lock-in
  • EU-based, GDPR-compliant by default
  • Fixed quote before we start
  • We operate our own software, so we build for reliability

We build automations using API-first tools, not proprietary platforms that lock you in. Where custom code is needed, we write it in TypeScript because it integrates with everything and any developer can maintain it.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

How much does business process automation cost?

Rough range: a simple automation between two tools, for example syncing a form submission to a spreadsheet and sending a confirmation email, costs far less than a multi-system workflow with error handling and reporting. We scope every project before we start and give you a fixed quote, so the number does not change halfway through. Most small automations start from a few hundred euros; larger projects from a few thousand. Leave your email and we will give you a specific estimate within one business day.

How long does it take to build an automation?

Simple automations can be live within two to five days of the build starting. More complex projects that connect several systems, handle edge cases, or require approval flows typically take one to three weeks. We give you a realistic timeline before we start, not an optimistic one that slips. The mapping step at the start of every project is specifically designed to surface complexity early, so there are no surprises mid-build.

Do I need to replace my current software?

Usually not. Most automations connect to the tools you already use through their APIs, so your team keeps working in the same systems they know. We have connected automations to accounting platforms, CRMs, email tools, spreadsheets, document stores, and custom databases. If a tool has an API or a webhook, it can almost certainly be part of an automation. If it does not, we will tell you honestly before we start.

What tasks are worth automating?

The best candidates are tasks that are repetitive, rule-based, and done often, where a person follows the same steps every time and rarely needs to make a judgement call. Data entry, document generation, status notifications, and scheduled reports are common examples. Tasks that involve nuanced decisions, relationship management, or creative work are usually better kept with people. If you describe a task to us, we will tell you honestly whether automation is a good fit and what the return on investment looks like.

Is our data safe?

We build with security in mind from the start. Data stays within your existing systems where possible, and we do not route it through unnecessary third parties. Where integrations require data to pass between systems, we use encrypted connections and follow the principle of minimum necessary access. We are based in Estonia and operate under EU law, including GDPR. We are happy to sign a data processing agreement as part of any engagement.

Can you automate something specific to our industry?

Most likely. We have built automations for businesses in financial services, legal, professional services, e-commerce, and operations. The underlying logic is usually the same; the specifics differ. If you work in a regulated industry, we understand the constraints that come with that and build accordingly. Tell us the task and we will tell you honestly whether it is a good fit.
